Our P.S.11 Young Artists Program kicked off last week! We will feature a class each week throughout the 8 week program here in the PTA Digest.
Our 1st and 2nd graders in the Inspired Artists – Frank Stella class were introduced to the artist and his unique style and craft under the guidance of parent teachers Casey, Alix, and May.
Frank Stella was one of the most important abstract artists of our times. His geometric paintings and sculptures are instantly recognizable. The students worked on their own geometric studies during this first class. They discussed how an important rule is that “there are no mistakes in art!”
