The PS11 Read a Thon runs for 3 weeks in February, but will need additional preparation and marketing prior to kick off. Duties include: Email a set list of prospective local businesses to request prize donations for our read a thon winners. Collaborate with your co-chair on Read a Thon Themes, generating posters and marketing materials using the chosen Theme. Create messaging materials (emails, backpack flyers, kick off videos) to send out to the PS11 community in advance and during the Read a Thon. Count and organize prizes per class for every student before the Read a Thon begins. Are comfortable using an excel spreadsheet to keep track of minutes read and sorting the data into 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners per grade.
