The 3rd grade students in cyanotype have been using everyday items and found objects from nature to create blue-toned prints using the power of sunlight or UV light from a light box.
The cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces blue prints using specially coated paper and light. The objects block the light and once removed, leave a beautiful positive image or silhouette of the object’s shape. Students in this class also learned about the history of cyanotypes and how they are produced. This class is led by parent instructors Irene and Lilian.
