Just in its inception year, the PS11 Math Club has not only brought joy into the lives of many math loving kids, it has also brought accolades at a national level. Several of the team members competed in the prestigious Noetic National Math Contest and made the honor roll, with a few placing in the top three percentile. Top scorers and team winners making the honor roll were Avaan (second grade), Akshay (third grade), Aaron and Zsuzsanna (fourth grade). Other students placing in the honor roll were Angelina and Avery. The math club has done a fantastic job and depends solely on volunteers to function. If you wish to volunteer for next year, email Dmitry at

Math Club Applications due Monday

The new PS11 Math Club is about to start, for students in grades 2, 3, and 4. Applications were given to the students this week, and are due on Monday Dec 4. Note that the application's primary goal is to see the students' interest and willingness to work, so students should do it on their own.
The club will explore challenging problems and puzzles, and expand the students' mathematical horizons. It will meet once a week at lunchtime. The letter accompanying the application has more details.  For further questions, please email
