ATTENTION PARENTS!!

YES, I have the Middle School Applications. You (or another adult in your family) may pick them up on Wednesday, November 30th, between 8:30 and 9:00 and Thursday, December 1st, between 8:30 and 9:00. I will be in room 101. I WILL NOT GIVE THE APPLICATIONS TO YOUR CHILDREN.

THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE DUE BACK TO ME BY DECEMBER 16TH.

**ATTENTION** The Baruch (MS104) tour for December 7th has been cancelled. If you were scheduled for a tour that day, please contact their parent coordinator, Blanca Rivera, at (212) 674 4545, extension 1090, to reschedule.

Also, Middle School Applications should be out by the end of November. I will let you know when you should come to the school to sign them out from me. I will NOT be sending the applications home with the children.

News from LAB (in addition to the tours I am scheduling on December 6th and 7th):

"Just wanted to inform everyone that we will be having an Open House on Tuesday, December 6th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in our school auditorium. There is no sign up in advance for this!! Parents just show up!! Have a GREAT evening!!"

Middle School News — October 20th

Just a kind and gentle reminder to parents to make as many appointments as possible for tours. Presently, there are still only two schools that I am scheduling the tours, LAB and School of the Future. You may call all other schools in order to schedule the tours.

Remember, you will need 5 choices for the Middle School application. The actual Middle School application will be distributed in late November. I will notify you when you will need to come to the school to pick them up.

Here is NEW information from LAB...

"We will be hosting an Inclusion Information Night which we will discuss our CTT and SETTS Program on Thursday, December 1 at 4:30 pm. We would like for your Guidance Counselor and any parents who have children with IEP’s and 504’s to attend. No appointment needed, just show up!! Have a GREAT day!!"

Hi Parents,

I finally have information on the Baruch (MS 104) tour and the LAB tour. Please follow the directions below.

Baruch (MS 104)
NOTE: I AM NOT SCHEDULING THIS TOUR. Parents should email Blanca Rivera or call her at 347-563-5074 to schedule a tour. Her email is brivera@schools.nyc.gov.

NYC LAB
The tours are on December 6th OR 7th. Tour begins promptly at 8 am. Please email me on the day you would like to attend. I will provide the school with the list. There are limited seats so email me asap.

Our guidance counselor, Christine Leonhardt, is our District 2 Middle School Choice Program liaison. In our experience, the middle school application process changes from year to year. A general meeting will be scheduled to inform fifth grade parents of the process and procedures. Ms. Leonhardt is available by appointment to meet with fifth grade parents and students to assist them through the process.
