Kindergarten Intake Period is January 9-March 2, 2012.

All children born in 2007 (turning 5 years old by December 31, 2012) are eligible for Kindergarten. Families must submit an application for kindergarten admission, even if they are applying to their zoned school.

PS11 is a community school that gives priority to students who live in our zone. For a complete list of admission priorities and to verify your zoned school, please refer to the Department of Education (DOE) website.

Families can complete an Intake Form in person in the PS11 office from January 9-March 2, between the hours of 9am and 11am, Monday thru Friday. It is not necessary for your child to be present. Please bring ALL the following documents with you to complete the admission intake process:

1. Child's original birth certificate or passport
2. Child's immunization records
3. Current rent invoice/receipt, NYCHA Family Composition Letter or mortgage statement
4. Current Con Edison bill or maintenance statement
5. Current bank or credit card statement

The kindergarten admissions process is school‐based, but there is a standard timeline for all schools and there are citywide guidelines for eligibility and admissions priorities. Visit the DOE Calendar and Events page to see important dates and deadlines.
