SchoolIt Fundraiser
A great new way to support PS11 while getting great deals for yourself and your family and supporting local businesses: Schoolit ecoupons.  Current deals for PS11 include restaurants, dentists, acupuncturists, beauty salons, tours and more.

Think Groupon, with profits benefitting your child's school. Because the business was started by PS11 parents Kathy and Al Ellman, Schoolit will generously donate 100% rather than the usual 50% of its proceeds to PS11 through the end of this school year, June 2012. Our first check for $875 was presented at the September PTA meeting.

About Schoolit

Schoolit is a unique fundraising website which benefits public schools, shoppers and merchants at the same time. Using Schoolit, merchants attract new loyal customers and advertise their business through discount coupons sold on the site while shoppers can enjoy great deals from their local businesses. Both merchants and shoppers help raise funds for local school projects as 50% of our coupon proceeds go back to schools.

Schoolit is the brainchild of a marketing expert, a web programmer, and a supermom who’s raised about $200,000 a year for her kids’ school. We’re just concerned parents whose public schools (and our kids’ educations) are in a world of pain. We didn't find the solution we were looking for, so we created it ourselves.
