Appropriate Dress

• Children should be dressed for school in a way that reflects the seriousness of our academic goals.
• Clothing should be comfortable, season-appropriate (warm clothes including a hat and gloves are necessary on cold days), and allow children to participate in a variety of activities throughout the day.
• Children are expected to play outside at recess, therefore closed sturdy shoes with traction (such as sneakers) are preferred and help protect children from slipping accidents. Children wearing flip-flops, backless shoes or heels which are not appropriate, will be prohibited from participating in recess and physical activity.

“Heelies” are strictly prohibited.
